Biography

     Mr Lung Tak Yee is the principal of a secondary school in Hong Kong. He graduated with first class honors in mathematics and subsequently received his master's degree in mathematics from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. While developing his career as a secondary school mathematics teacher, he pursued his second master's degree in the Faculty of Education of the CUHK. He focused on the education of gifted children.
 
     He has been the Honorary Curriculum Consultant of the Programs for the Gifted and Talented organized by the CUHK since 2004. For the past ten years, he has developed a series of enrichment programs aiming at fostering those gifted children's ability, confidence and perseverance in problem-solving. His courses are very popular and he is constantly invited to give teacher training seminars on this topic.
 
     Mr. Lung is passionate about mathematical games. He has a special interest in the ancient Chinese puzzle, Tangram, and has done extensive research on it. With his expertise in problem-solving-skills, he has created a wide range of original tangram patterns and their solutions in a structured mind-set. At present, he is the writer of "Tangram Class" published in the education column of "The Sing Tao" daily.
